Well another year another new gadget and another one of Steve Jobs (planed at least this time) Developer presentations!! This year Is being handled by apple a little different. This year apple threw us a curve ball of sorts. Now normally one would think of apple as being this secret cult of users and workers conniving to get as much money out of people as possible. Then keep them coming back by keeping announcements such as this secret or keeping the subject of conversation of a presentation such as this a secret. At least up until the last minuet or possibly second when Jobs him self walks onto that stage, with his iconic and classic black turtle neck and presents his new products or software updates. But this year all of the apple fans no longer have to sit on the edge of their seat. Because this year they have told us and it is going to be good.
This year we will have Ios 5 as well as the next version of Mac os x Apple's flagship operating system. Also new this year will be iCloud a new cloud music service from Apple. New details are coming out about iCloud such as that it will be free for a time then $25 a year after the trial period. It is also said that it will be integrated with iTunes which is expected. The service will be accesible form all of Apple's mobile devices and will be use for mostly music. Apple reportedly had to deal big with the music industry to make this work and by big I mean Huge!
Lion as the new OS X is called shows much promise even in it's beta stages so far. It seems to be packed full of touch screen centric applications as well as more iPad like gadgets and apps. Who know we may see a touch screen iMac, oh god a 27 inch TOUCH SCREEN iMac that should turn out to be interesting. Imagine the smudges!
Moving on for now as Lion doesn't need much more said as of now, I will be reporting on WWDC starting at 2:20 PM wish I could do a little earlier but that will do! Just watch the live blogs (I will be as well!)
IOS Apple's flag ship Mobile Operating System is reportedly getting some new features and tweaks. One of which including a new notification system! As well as a new multi taking "task switcher" hopefuly something like multiflow from cydia if you have a JB'ed iPhone.
All in all this WWDC should be a very exciting and surprising event even though we already know (almost) all that they are going to talk about.
